A tugging at my heart brings me back

I hear your voice in the distance

And I yearn for clarity

I want to make sense of this aching in my soul

Although I may not understand

Reason and purpose exist

The sun collides with the moon

The clouds float by in an endless sky

Embraced by the crisp autumn air

Evening beckons and I must go

I take a slice of this serenity with me

I lock it safely within my heart

Never far from my mind

Until the sun rises again

A new day brings me back

My spirit soars and I feel as free as the birds in the sky

I feel you calling to me

I will keep your spirit ever near

You will not be forgotten

Not while there is breath left in me
